Hi, vigilantes. Yesterday I was bruteforcing launch I76 on my laptop with i5 5200U. I tryed everything that I found but didn't get rid of wheels wobbling. But in some moment I managed to launch the game with only dgVoodoo and without wobbling. After success I lost 3 hours to figure out what made that possible. I never encountered such relations in software, but I76 works fine with dgVoodoo when Intel HD-graphics control panel is opened on the "Display" tab. Just open that tab and launch the game. The screenshot is in russian, but I think anybody can find that tab without problems. My driver version is 20.19.15.4835.

I can't believe that this actually worked. Tried everything in all the posts from here and Reddit to get the game running properly and finally through the combination of this, zeckensack's Glide wrapper and dgVoodoo 2.51 it's running as it should and looking beautiful. Apart from background music occasionally glitching and small-ish cutscenes, it's totally enjoyable.
Man, thank you very much for the confirmation! At some moment I doubted my sanity.
Yes, the general consensus is this:

1) Glide/3dfx version works at all times (for me nGlide works better than dgVoodoo and also easier to setup, it's all automatic on nGlide) I don't remember ever having issues with the Glide version of the game.

2) Software renderer is where problems start happening. After applying the 24 FPS a long time ago, all issues ceased to exist and I could finally enjoy the game, nothing else was needed. Sometimes (usually after you quit/restart the game a few times or if the computer is running continually for a few days) I would start to get the "game is running too fast" symptons (you can notice if the clouds are moving too fast in the sky, they are supposed to move very slowly) In such case, the only thing that would remedy the situation for me was restarting the computer. For some reason, the CPU would get "locked up" with the game until I restarted it and it worked again. One more time: you don't need anything other than the 24 FPS patch to get the game working. (not necessary for Glide version)

To be honest, I think the software renderer looks better, it has a certain charm to it.
After re-installing the game and dealing with all of this again, I uploaded a Ready-To-Go Package for the game installed, patched and updated with the latest release of the "20 FPS Patch".

Check the thread I created for more details. (no game assets here, no piracy in this file!!)
