The level ends, i get the cut scene then when i click Next level 9 with or without saving) it just chrashes EVERy time..
I couldnt tell you the spec of my computer, but im Using Windows Xp and untill now it has worked fine.
any ideas or similar problems...?

Couple things - does it actually let you save a bookmark before it crashes? IE, so you can then load that bookmark to the "YOU ARE UNCONSCIOUS" screen? And when you click "next level," does it play the "you fell in a ditch, here's the van's engine" cutscene or does it crash before that?
Yes i can save the game, but then when i click next level it crashes.
When i start a new game and load the level it comes up Next level or Save bookmark and then it crashes when i click next level.
I can go back and play the level and it still crashes
I dont get to see the Cut scene with the Van engine!
EDIT!!! i get the ''Somewhere in the southwest..'' message at the bottom of the screen, then it crashes!

That's very odd... the "Somewhere in the Southwest" screen is usually indication that it's loading a level into the game engine, but it hadn't even played you the cutscene yet (or maybe it tried and failed...?)
I'm at a loss, personally. It could be umpteen bajillion things I can think of ranging from file corruption to driver problems.
Or maybe it could even be something as simple as your specific setup causing a bug to crash the game... here, I'm going to attach a rar file with my save games in it to this message . Back up your own save files from your interstate 76 folder, then unrar these into it, then see if you can load the bookmark for mission 13 and see if it plays. If not... well, the save is also there for the mission after that, so at least you can continue with the story....

(Sorry for the offtopic but there doesn't seem to be a PM function here) gasbandit, would you mind if I redistributed this file on a video game wiki (crediting it to gasbanditry.com, of course)?

That's fine. It has a bookmark before every mission of the trip.
Hello,
this is caused by the I76SHELL.DLL in the main directory. The solution, that worked for me you'll find here: http://www.warp2search.net/contentteller/compatdb_details/interstate_76_windows.html

Happened to me as well. Found out that there are two dll`s in the games directory. One has normal name - I76SHELL.DLL, other is I76SHELL_1083.DLL. Just renamed the first one to I76SHELL_old.dll, and the second one to I76SHELL.DLL. Works like a charm. Didn`t renamed them till the end of the game.
