So... We can't play Kaycee's Mod on GOG version?
Did someone manage to run the mod on GOG version since? If not I'm definitely buying on Steam instead.
Apparently GOG has betas too per https://docs.gog.com/gc-beta-channels/ , could anyone try if the code givemeascensionmode works?

One month later, still no Kaycee’s Mod for GOG users.
Oh goody... it's this situation again... DRM-free stores always get spurned with this kind of stuff.
Actually, after someone complained about it on r/inscryption, one of the subreddit mods replied saying that because it's still in beta, it's only available via Steam's beta program; however Kaycee's Mod should be available for GOG users when finished!

(I wanted to source my post by putting links to references but don't have enough rep yet; if you do a reddit search within the r/inscryption subreddit using "GOG" as a keyword you should find the "I have refunded Inscryption on GOG." post, where the mod's comment is located)

EDIT: Typos...

But we are not talking about a beta channel for updates, we are talking about a lot of new content. All my friends on steam have already burned the new content. This is what we get for supporting drm free...

I mean they announced a public release here, Kaycee's Mod is coming in less than two days, it's not that much more to wait.

If anything GOG users will get the polished, finished version of this update, instead of the bugs beta-testers had to deal with.

Did I mention it's free, too? And yet people still find reasons to complain... The less of the new content you've seen, the more there is to dig in. I literally see no downside for GOG users in this situation.

I say rejoice, my friends, for your DRM-free version will not be left untouched!

And even if it did, Inscryption is still a brilliant game with great story that has great replay value!

Yeah, imagine complaining about... not getting all the same content that you everyone else who bought the game got? Wait a minute...

Allow me to list a few reasons why I don't understand everyone complaining about Kaycee's Mod's beta being a Steam exclusive:
• It released for free on all platforms not too long ago in its full, finished state when a lot of DRM-Free games get left behind with the release version of an expansion that's filled with bugs and never gets fixed. Not to mention it was said on Twitter (https://twitter.com/DMullinsGames/status/1486107766699692034) that Kaycee's Mod would release on all platforms for free, again. It was also said here. You can probably find more posts that confirm it if you do a little research. And even though my links are only about GOG releases I invite you to buy the game on all paltforms to double-check Kaycee's Mod's presence.
• Kaycee's Mod's beta is a beta; a non-finished product that is evolving over time and being worked on. Releasing an unpolished product could have been seen as disrespectful, and it would have received terribly poor reception. The beta being something niche (as all betas are) was meant to release this free expansion the best it could be, without too many bugs and balance issues.
• Kaycee's Mod starting as a beta wasn't supposed to be that popular, it got everyone by surprise as seen by the opening statement of this post. And it only got open to public so the dev could find & fix bugs prior to releasing it, making a better experience for most players like us GOG users.
• Buying Inscryption prior to Kaycee's Mod's release (which may I remind you is a free expansion to the game) netted you the full story-driven game. Nowhere you had the guarantee to get a free expansion as a bonus. What you paid for is what's written on the store page.
• You're working with one person who's coding an entire game, not a full size AAA studio. Creating new content that's gonna release for free and has to blend in an entire game without breaking it takes time. Any big studio would have released this as paid DLC, while all we had to do was wait for new content to be rich and bug-free. And again we're talking about one, maybe two people. Please be understanding.
• Seriously, it's out now... You could use your time reading this playing the one Kaycee's Mod you're so jealous over Steam users for. So go do that! It's full of secrets and new content that's polished and made with love!
