Hey guys, I am (I suppose) close to the end of the Act I, but I've run into a rather annoying problem.

I've found Betty, the sheep but I can't give it back to the shepherd. There's no possible interaction at all, no "speak" icon or anything. I bashed his door open but he simply won't talk to me. As I discussed the matter with a friend who is also playing the game now, we came to the conclusion that this will block my progression, as I won't be able to get the item that allows me to accuse the judge Valerian.

Anyone has an idea to get me out of this dead end? Or it isn't an dead end and there's something I can do to progress?

*If this information is of any use, I'm playing using the french translation patch

Thanks in advance.
Ok, solved it using the console command to get the dagger's hilt. Not the way I wanted, but keeps me from going back to level 1 (from 22).

EDIT 2: Edit #1 came too soon. Adding the item to the inventory didn't enable the dialogs to make the story advance. Nor adding another Ruphert to the map. Any ideas?

Now it's really solved. It was a problem with the french patch. I removed it and as soon as I got to Ruphert he came to ask me about the sheep. Yay.

What class is your character, please? And which French file(s) do you use? There already was one report regarding Ruphert not approaching player after player bashes his door open but when I tested it with French and all three classes everything was working fine for me.
