Ernie76: Digged out my ol Original. And now for some: " Was haben wir den da.........etwas Medizin" ;)

SirYodaJedi: Does this include subtitles (really supertitles for this game)? I’m filling out this game’s page on PCGamingWiki, which is an english-language site, but also keeps track of localizations.
yup, it does (subtitles were coloured in Indy style)

btw, there does exist a Widescreen patch (more like a multi res patcher), which brings its own host of problems

The Gog Version does include a Widescreen fix. Atleast for me 1920 x 1080 works absolutely fine

You are correct, the old disc version needed some extra help.

Gog version still has the problem that the fov is 4:3 only, but maybe someone over at wsgf will take a crack at it.

Extra help? I remember I started once the game (CD version) within an virtual machine with Win98SE and I had 1080p right from the start available. I think the game supports all desktop resolutions out of the box.

hm, maybe using a VM makes all the difference.

I do distinctly remember having to contend with crashes and unresponsiveness when trying to play in anything above 1280x1024, the gui was messed up as well.

I mostly use virtual machines games like Discworld Noir.

The GoG version of IM makes that moo, anyway ;D

Since you still have your original, would you be able to upload the necessary files for people who don't have the CD?

Yeah just a bump to inform you that apparently someone still owns the rights of the german audio; so uploading it somewhere could bring Germans into legal trouble; i think if you're from the US this might be different since you have different copyright laws for abandonware
