It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

indirectinput on github can be used to fix the crashes. dinput.dll just needs pasted into infernal machine/resource folder.

The disabling sound device or using dg voodoo didn't work for me. This starts it every time even from a saved game or at 1080p every time at least for me.

Let me give you a big fat smooch for that. While Infernal Machine used to work in Win10 for me on a previous PC, on my current one it wasn't going anywhere no matter what I tried. Once I stuck that dll into the game files I had absolutely no problem. Hell, even the map function works as it should. Apparently, the problem is something that changed within Win10 itself that doesn't agree with the game as provided by GOG.

To actually download the file one will have to go to the releases page, which for some reason is not accessible with a regular link on that page. *shrug* You can find it here.

This also solved my issue, thanks.
In addition, I needed to disable all my audio devices except for one output device.
Now it is working again, as it used to do when gog first released it.
Today this issue came back again, without any cause I can pinpoint (yesterday it worked without problem and nothing has changed on my PC that I'm aware of). I've tried again all the solutons suggested in this thread but nothing seems to work, does anyone have any ideas?
