Hello,

I'm running Windows 10. The F buttons do not work. I have tried running the game through the latest version of SCUMM but still nothing. Is this a fault with the emulation?

Any advise would be great.

Cheers,
Simon

It works for me. I press F5 to get the main menu, and then I can save from there. I'm running Windows 10 as well. I have not tried the latest SCUMM-version, just the default GOG-version. Does any SCUMM-functions work? Does the game pause when you press Space?
Random_Coffee is right.
I can add you should be able to save with the combination Alt+0-9 too, meaning Alt+0 is the first saving slot, Alt+1 is the second and so on. You can load a savegame accordingly with Ctrl+0-9.
Same problem here :(
win10 on my laptop and Fs buttons don't work :(

Yes, this finally worked for me after trying everything else. Thanks!
Looked all over but can't find where my saved games are stored.
You can also try setting your keyboard layout to en_US; that worked for me.

(The game manual says something about a "reference card" that is supposed to be included physically with the game to find out the buttons on different layouts, but seeing how I tried every button, plus while holding shift/ control/ alt and all I got was the text speed, mute/ unmute the sound and the game's version info, I don't think tracking that down somewhere would help, either.)
Some laptops require you to use the fn key in order to use the f buttons. So if you hit fn and f5 at the same time it will bring you to the main menu where you can save.

cheers. the instructions for the game said f1 but assuming that was disabled for the scumm menu. f5 worked great
