It's one of the last missions in defiance and I have no clue how to plant the probe on the ship. I wait till the ships escorting the ship are gone, but one comes back eventually to pick up the freighter and usually sees the probe. If I launch the probe later in the mission when the freighter is about to jump, I get detected.

They say I should hide the probe, but I have no clue what to do.

I would greatly appreciate if anyone who played this mission could tell me how they solved this! Thanks very much <3 Love this game

From memory, at least one of the container pods should be open, you fly the probe inside to hide it. Been a while since I've played through I-War or Defiance though.
