Hey Guys,

Just installed I-War 2: EoC and come across the seemingly well known black screen, only "New Game" option and cursor showing issue. I tried all the marked solutions I found in about 4 threads on here regarding the same glitch but none worked for me. In the end I found my own fix which was simply to disable the video animation of the spinning kid.

Go into in the movies directory of your base I-War 2 install directory and rename / move / delete the "ycal.bik" file and this just removes that spinning animation and allows you to see the full main menu and any other sub menus where that animation is present.

I hope this helps anyone else that hasn't been able to resolve it via the other marked solutions.

Yeah it seems pretty common with Win7 64 bit installs, glad to hear you haven't encountered it as it's properly frustrating after installing the game and just wanting to jump straight into some missions.
