Had an extended break from this game, and it's tirade of badly scripted, buggy missions.

Last time I'd gotten myself clear of the "Wolf's Lair" mission - and breathed a sigh of relief..... thinking that once past that one, the remaining missions would be more straightforward.

Anyway - ended up playing a few other games for a month or so, but now I've come back to I-War 2. And

KAAAAAAAJUUUUUNNNNGGGGGGGGG!!!!!

Immediately hit with ANOTHER mission "bug jam" within a few minutes.

The mission is "Act 2 Battle For Mwari - Escort the Convoy".

The convoy you're escorting just STOPS DEAD, never to move ever again, in the Mwari system. Last time I noticed they stopped about 350km away from the Pestur L-Point near Thales in Mwari.

If you choose to go through "the front door (Santa Romera)" you get dozens of Marauder ships at the first L-Point you arrive at, beat those off, and the fleet then continues on to some unknown destination. Mid-way you get ambushed by another three Marauder corvettes..... this is where the convoy stops, permanently..... even once the three marauders are destroyed.

If you choose to go through "the back door (Dagda), you at first breath a sign of relief than the game puts you straight in the "Mwari" system regardless..... avoiding the Dagda Mega-Crash Game Destroyer bug..... you also don't encounter quite as many marauders. The fleet then heads off to it's unknown destination, but STILL STOPS DEAD, PERMANENTLY..... this time without any Marauder ambush at all..... they just stopped dead 350km from the Pestur L-Point near Thales, Mwari, never to move again!!!!!

Any help guys?!!!!!!!!!

Nevermind - I've ditched the game. It's off the hard-drive, for good, saves and all. No point telling me the solution now.
The final straw was the fact that the "Torn Stars" mod I was hoping would save this game, is actually also a pile of dross. Goodybe I-War games..... it was not a pleasant flight.

I so wanted to keep lovin this game - I could see the ENORMOUS potential the game itself had - but no, the mission designers went more than the extra parsec to smother any of that potential from ever shining through!
