I took over a minor Nation and discovered two gem squares that also had ore. It was early enough in the game for this to matter. Trouble is the squares would require adjacent stations to exploit both gem/ore mines.
So I tried to start the two stations at the same term (different engineers) and it worked.
Adjacent functioning stations.
Don't know if this is well known, but I thought I would put it up.

How, I really mean how, did you manage this?

Already had similar situations and never succeeded....
And IIRC I also tried starting in the same turn....(but memory might fail me here ;) )

I started the construction of the stations during one term (turn).

Meaning the one under your northern station and the wood SE of it. If it would count double, that would be a nice bonus :D

LOL. Doesn't look like you get that bonus.
But with a map that has four gem mines, I'll suffer through.

Such placing of depots works as long as you start construction of second one before first one is complete.
