Hi,

Haven't been able to find any support online for this.

Rail Roads aren't transporting resources and not sure what the problem is. I build the rail road next too the resource but it doesn't show in the transport screen that turn or the following.

Anyone have a solution for this? I'm runnning Win7 with 64bit.

Shall have nothing to do with the OS ;)

Railroad will only work, if it connected to your capitol. By this I mean in a straight uninterrupted line.

like C-R-R-R-R-Resource, if it would be like C-R-R-R-Road-R-R-R-Resource, you would only get the transportation effect of road.

IF it is ONLY connected to a harbour it will show up as ship-transport.

Hope it helps ;)

Otherwise, could you please attach a screenie?

EDIT: Nice example would be mountains, in Imp 1 no railroads over mountains ;)

In Imp 1 you need to build a depot next to the ressource and connect the depot with railroads, it is not like Imp 2 where a road is enough.

Excellent, thank you jamotide, its been so long since i played I'd forgotten this.

Also thank you Goodaltgamer for speedy reply, I'm a bit more experienced with Imp 2 then Imp 1 hence where I got confused and forgot about depot :)

But don´t forget, a depot will be sea-based transport. Only with the straight connection to your capitol it is free too transport! ;)

If it is an another isle, connecting it to the (ex)Capitol of the nation gives you a free harbour ;)

You arrrre welcome ;)
Think you are mixing up Imp 1 and 2 there, alt

Depots are not seabased transport , that would be a harbour, and in imp 1 you always need to increase railroad capacity, no matter if it is seabased transport or not, it is not like Imp 2 where land transport to the own capitol is free

(yes I am gigantc a smartass, but I constantly play these games)
Sorry yes....harbour, but depot? doesn´t ring a bell at all.

hence I was thinking of harbour.

OK, me thinks that I will dig up the Imp 1 again ;)
