This is a problem I keep running into.

If you put a civilian to sleep on a town, I've found it to be absolutely impossible to ever select them again. You try to hover the cursor over them but it just keeps going to the flag icon to select that space's army (which is just the inactive militia you can never move; WHY select them?).

So basically if I accidentally put one to sleep on a city, that civilian is gone and I can never built a fort/depot/rail on that space FOREVER.

Is there some trick to selecting the unit?

fahbs,

I know you can read, right? ;)

Out of the manual:

Once the unit is sleeping, you must use the selection cursor to re sto re the sleeping
unit to the cycle. Since you still see the sleeping unit on the Te rrain Map, it’s not
difficult to find him and click on him with this cursor. You can also use the Wake all
U n i t s key b o a rd shortcut, by pressing the “ w ” key, to wa ke up all sleeping units
and return them to the cycle.

(waiting for the slapping sound......... ;) )
