I cannot seem to get mine working in game. I have already fiddled around with the Dosbox config where I have tried different joystick types but to no avail. I know I can use the Dosbox key mapper to make it sort of work but I would really like to use analogue input instead of keyboard emulation. Thanks!! :)

I just got it working. This is what I did:

* Altered the DOSBOX config file "docbox_igni.conf" that can be found in the installation folder for the Ignition game. In the config file search for the [joystick] section and change these setting:
joysticktype=4axis
timed=true
This assumes your XBOX controller is registered in Windows as joystick 1

* Next alter the keymapper settings. For this you need to start the game and press CTRL + F1 to open the DOSBOX build in key mapper. Search for axis 1/2, here you can map the the controller. Choose a direction, e.g. Y-, click Del to remove the current mapping, then press add for a new mapping. You can then use any input on the controller to map it to the selected axis. Y- is up, Y+ is down, X- is left and X+ is right. I mapped it as follows:
Y-: Left trigger
Y+: Right trigger
X-: Right thumb left
X+: Right thumb right
Click Save to keep the new mapping. This will add a new file to the game directory, in my case "mapper-0.74-2.map". The name may differ for other versions of DOSBOX. To remove the mapping simply delete said file.

* Finally in Ignition go to options, player1 options. Under controls choose "joystick" and then click joystick calib. Follow the on screen instructions. It is important you do this slowly and correctly.

for 3dfx windows version.
I just changed instead of keyboard to joystick ingame. There is a player 1 options menu.
I also have a usb keyboard and a wired controller

I used the 3dfx executable to run the game. The dosversion didn't work with joystick, the 3dfx version didn't have music.
