I recently purchased Icewind Dale and some of the voice soundsets do not work. For instance, neither the Male Thief 1 or 2 options produce any sound, either in character creation or in the game world. There are others, both male and female, which do not work. Others do. I've found a few closed threads where this is mentioned but no solution is given. Any help is deeply appreciated!

I have this problem too, it's weird, it's not the voice files that are missing, they just... randomly don't work, they work sometimes, other times they do, it's some kind of bug, I just don't know why this happens.
I can confirm the same missing audio. Plus 2 of the male mage voices just before the thief when in the list of voices while making a new character.

This is a significant chunk of awesome that we are not allowed access to. Could someone at GoG please take a look?
Figured it out. Something to do with memory. If you click down each file from beginning to end, previewing each, eventually the later ones will not respond to the play button. The files are there, they're fine, it's just the game won't let you preview them all in one session. Never mind GoG. It's probably always been this way.

I had the retail version, and it was not this way. I never experienced this issue in my childhood. (BTW, I also have the problem on GoG version)
