Hey gang, running IWD 1, and every time I try to enter the house of Hrothgar, in Easthaven, the game gives an error and crashes. Any suggestions? I've done all the other quests in town, and can't seem to figure it out. Thanks!

PS- I'm running the game on a late 2013 iMac, OSX 10.9.2, 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7, 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory, with a NVIDIA GeForeve GTX 780M 4096 MB card.

Crashing upon entering an area is symptomatic of corrupt asset/s in the area you are entering. These assets are stored in the saved game, which itself can become corrupt. For testing, can you start a completely new game (NOT load an existing one) and enter his house directly, and without crashing?
Thanks, that was a good idea, but it crashes at the same spot when I start a new save game. Super bummed. Any other suggestions out there?

What about mods? Do you have any installed?
No mods, just the expansions.

Hmm! I haven't heard of this area being buggy, but it may be worth considering the IWD fixpack. Before you do that though, I would first try a complete uninstall and clean re-install. It's possible that an asset became corrupt in the initial installation.
Looks like a hot reinstall did the trick. Thanks gang!

Excellent. Thanks for the follow-up info.
