Sorry for the double topic but I am going to try posting this as a "question/problem".

I am running Icewind Dale 2 on Windows 7. I do have a few mods (IWD2 tweaks and the G3 Widescreen mod), but nothing that should affect this. My problem is that outside of the menu screen (and maybe a few other situations like the chapter load screens, I am not 100% sure) there is NO music. This includes the "combat music" as well as the background music that plays when you are in town/exploring. I have done a lot of searching, but can't find anyone with the same issue, though a lot of similar issues.

I tried a fresh install of the game with no mods, and have the same issue. Any help?

Thanks

Icewind Dale 2 does not have generic ambient and battle music tracks that play in every situation. Such track lists simply don't exist. There are only certain areas and situations that music plays. It is not your setup.

I understand if music does not play all the time; however what I am experiencing is that music NEVER plays. I have played the game before and I know there are points where I should hear something and I'm not.

How far into the game are you, and have you heard absolutely no music whatsoever? I was just idly fooling around in the prologue, and at first there was no music for the longest time, then of a sudden it started playing. It is very hit-and-miss when you hear music in IWD2, and always has been. Have you also checked your sound options? I know that may sound (no pun intended) obvious, but you would be surprised how the easy/obvious things are often overlooked.
