Simple question but I cannot for the life of me find an answer. I would rather just play it in Windowed mode then deal with the high res widescreen patch OR stretching.

For anybody who may look at this thread wondering the same question, and since the OP didn't share his/her solution, IWD2, like many other Windows games and programs, can be windowed by pressing both [ALT] and [TAB] together. It can also be done in game options, or the ini file, but there's no need when you can use a simple key combination.

Actually, all Alt+Tab does is leaving the game without closing it. To enter windowed mode, you need to press Alt+Enter.

I figured that I should add this, considering that I stumbled upon this thread from a Google search...
