Hey community,
I've run into a problem involving a LOT of revenants that refuse to die even if i kindly encourage them to do so by means of fire, acid, ice... nothing helps even if they've gone to the ground. Is there a special way which i missed, or is this a bug?

Can you give a little more info of where you are in the game? I can't recall revenants (perhaps it's a translation issue).

It's the trials of the luremaster castle. But anyway, it seems the problem is solved, maybe my cleric's turn undead is what finished them off in the end...

Ah, yes. Now I recall. I was thinking of the main game and racking my brain trying to figure out where you were. Anyway, glad you got through it!
The Watchknight Crypt. You need fire or acid to kill some of those revenants, just like trolls.
I've got the same glitch, and fire/acid is *not* solving the issue. My paladin and cleric are using fire-producing weapons, and my thief has fire arrows. The revenants drop when almost dead, and even though it shows them taking damage from multiple fire hits, they never die. I have about 10 revenants spread throughout the crypt now, running away out of range of some and driving others to run away through turning undead. Fireball, melf's acid arrow, and other spells cause damage but fail to kill. I've reinstalled Luremaster but am getting the same results. It's very frustrating.
@ kentonindy - Are you playing on insane difficulty? I've found the same, three or four unkillable that aren't there on core. Unkillable, that is, except for the Three White Doves mace which has a chance destroy undead on contact. I've two in the party (their second run through).
Normal difficulty. I lowered it the easiest difficult and still no luck.

The only other thing I can think of is to go back to a save before entering the Watchknight Crypts and make sure the the game is set to core or easier, and make sure Heart of Fury mode is off in the config.exe. Otherwise I've no idea. Any revenant I encountered that wasn't killable with fire or acid was when I entered on Insane setting.
Well, this one's on me. Mea culpa.

Revenants were using the regeneration items of trolls, but they had their own, unused regeneration item that was more powerful. I restored this in IWD Fixpack, but neglected to update their death-and-revive scripting to account for the item change.

This is fixed in IWD Fixpack v5, just released.
I installed Fixpack v5, and the issue is resolved! The save I had in the crypt didn't work because the revenants had already been spawned in a flawed state, but I loaded the save just before entering the crypt, and the first revenant I came across died as expected. Thanks!

I'll take some of the heat. I should'a posted on the IWD forum at G3 when I found it. After all, I've been beta-testing for you for how long?

I'd say it might merit looking at the IWD-in-BG2 conversion, but I've not seen it happen there.

Nah, this was just a dumb mistake on my part.

IWD-in-BG2 is still based off IWD Fixpack v1, with a little bit of v2 rolled into v7.13. I don't think you'll see the full v5 (or v6 or whatever Fixpack is on by then) rolled into IWD-in-BG2 until we have a new mainline update to v8.
