I having problems launching Icewind Dale 2. Nothing happens if I try to start the game from the app. and if I try to use the shortcut fom desktop I get an error message saying the program couldn't start correctly (0xc0000022)

I am using windows 10, and I have tried removing the .dll-file that someone here suggested. I have also tried to start the game in windowed-mode, but nothing works.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance. :)
Print screen the error, it's hard to tell from this.
C22 usually means file access error on Windows - the executable attempted to access a file that didn't exist it was expecting or that it didn't have permission to access

- Make sure file permissions (Properties -> Security) on all files in the game directory are "Full Control" enabled for your user (and/or everyone)
- Make sure the game is installed in a user accessible place (i.e. not Program Files or Program Files x86). Windows 10 has additional security on Program Files creation to usually require admin permission. However, doing the above step should fix this concern no matter where it is located.
- Add cnc-ddraw to the game folder from Github (Could be looking for ddraw.dll being removed, removing the ddraw.dll is a bad hack anyway, use a ddraw wrapper like cnc-ddraw or DDrawCompat instead)
- Add game folder to Anti-Virus exclusion and reinstall IWD2 - could be an A/V is ghost deleting files

You could try XP1/XP3 Compatibility settings or try Run as Administrator as well, but this is unlikely to be the issue.
