Yes.
This is all i get!! please help

An error occurred while starting the X11 server: "Failed to activate core devices."

Click Quit to quit X11. Click Report to see more details or send a report to Apple.
Having the same X11 issue with Icewind Dale 1. I did try installing XQuartz and it didn't work.
Be sure to not mention the OS X version you are using. Try that?
Non of that has worked, i wonder if it is because I'm on El Capitan. I have bought the enhanced editions of Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 and they work fine
I have the same problem - after updating the wrapper I got rid of the X11 issue but it doesn't launch the game. Just keep clicking at the icon and nothing happens.. Anyone got a solution for this issue?
The same message appears when I try to start other games that I've been able to play before, like Balder's Gate EE... I guess this is because of the upgrade to El Capitan...
90 % of old games don't work on EL Cap. now. And GOG doesn't tell you this before buying. This problem is more than half year old and GOG doesn't care! Fck you customers.

I opened the wineskin again and switched engines used under tools to WS9Wine1.9.2, that got the game running.

Fixed as of 08.02.2016.

Please install the game via Galaxy or re-download the DMG file for the game.
Thank you very much GOG.com, this has made me so happy :)
I have a problem with Icewind Dale 2 running on OSX 10.10.5 (Yosemite). When I try to run the game it does not start - there is no message at all when I run it using GalaxyClient.

When I tried to run it using terminal hoping that there will be some logs (by launching "Icewind Dale 2 Complete.app/Contents/MacOS/GOGLauncher") there is still no message nor hint what is going wrong :(.

What can be the reason of that? How to even diagnose it?

It's an .app wrapped in an .app. Try copying the inner .app, Icewind Dale 2 Complete.app/Contents/Resources/game/Icewind Dale 2.app, to your desktop then run that one. Otherwise, Right-click - Show package Contents on ~/Desktop/Icewind Dale 2.app and run the Wineskin.app.

Interesting. GoG team have heard that we like their applications, so they have put application in application in application :).

Nevertheless I did as you said. I unpacked the inner .app and it was starting without problems - I tried several times in a row and it was ok. So then I tried to run the game from GalaxyClient as before - and now it works as well.

I do not know what has changed. When it started for the first time, the application wanted to install a few things (Mono framework and Gecko) and I clicked install on all of them. Now it just works :). Maybe there is a problem if launcher is used when some dependencies are missing?

All in all, thanks for help - it did work, although I do not know why :).
