Recently, while I have been playing Icewind dale 2, it crashes when I am half way through a battle and it just freezes. My laptop is fine and doesn't Anyone know how to fix this?

Save often, restart the game, and use compatibillity of XP SP2.
Also, try enter a combat or area from a different angle. It usually helped against my random weird-ass crashing.
