Go to ..\Documents\Icewind Dale - Enhanced Edition\

You will find a file called baldur.lua, edit it in a text editor like notepad or notepad++ and add the following line:

SetPrivateProfileString('Program Options','Debug Mode','1')

If the game ever overwrites the file, resulting in the console not being enabled, do the above and then make baldur.lua read only.

i ADDED THE LINE OF CODING AND MADE IT READ ONLY BUT STILL CHEAT MODE INPUT LINE DOES NOT WORK? hELP!

It's probably because you keep SHOUTING the command.

I have edited the file, even had it read only, but I can't get the input cheat line to show. I tried copy and pasting but this screen would not allow me. There must be another solution but I don't know what. Thanks David Craft

I'm going to repeat myself: Post the contents of your baldur.lua file here. I'm firmly convinced it is something you've done or are not doing correctly.

Yeah, it's as I thought: you have trouble copy/pasting a simple text content to a forum. How on earth do you get a "wrong format"? You simply open baldur.lua in notepad or notepad++, press CTRL+C to copy all of the text, open a reply window in this forum and press CTRL+V to paste the text into the reply window. Now if you can't do that it stands to reason that people will think you're having similar issues with enabling the console.
