Odd problem here playing ID.
When dealing with a merchant (buying/selling) the scrolling list of things to buy and sell almost always closes after a few seconds. Have to scroll and select items FAST.
Also, when checking the loot on a victim (or even the contents of a container) the box showing items flashes up and disappears immediately. My workaround is to open a characters inventory screen, close it, then go back And check the loot, which usually works...albeit slowly chipping away at my sanity.
I'm on windows 7 and everything else is running fine. I've played he game before, so it's not operator error...REALLY.
Has this happened to anyone else? It's as if the game is closing certain inventory screens automatically.
Thanks in advance.
I've had that in BG2, where the thief script had me hiding in shadows all the time.
Try rebooting your computer. Dialog quirks like this can be caused by a Windows driver hiccup. Seriously.
Well, the reboot didn't change anything, but thanks for the advice.

Does your Dialogue Window show anything when it happens?
The best way to describe it is the screen flashes briefly...as if I had hit the button to continue.
It has happened in conversations...where the content keeps rolling as if I had hit "continue" button. Then I scroll back to see what was said out of necessity.
It also occurs constantly during merchant transactions (item screen just closes after about 5 seconds.
And finally, the boxes showing loot on a body ( or any treasure) will flash on the screen and the close.
The workaround is sort of a pain (opening a character inventory, then returning to the task usually eliminates the problem), but is cumbersome.
FYI...although it may sound like a stuck key on the keyboard...thisis not the case here.
Oh well...just a game.
