Loving this game so far, but I'm having a serious problem right now, when we are back in Easthaven. We've entered the Temple and are fighting 4 Cryshal Sentries and 5 or so False Pomabs. I can't seem to kill any of them. The Senties fall down at Almost Dead, but nothing we do will kill them. I've tried with fire or acid (like with trolls), but it doesn't help. A short while later they are up and fighting again.

Can't do anything with all the Pomabs running around either. In the last attempt I hasted the party and went after one of the Pomabs. Even when we managed to stun him (with a weapon chance), and got in 300-ish points of damage, he just said "Barely injured". Usually we got in one or two hits, he would suddenly be on the other side of the room, and back to "Uninjured". Arrows didn't scratch them either, so we have to get in close and personal.

How am I supposed to beat these guys?

Also, is it possible to go back to the Severed Hand now, to finish the quest with Holy Water, small animals and seeds? I also paid 10,000 for a shield we never got a chance to pick up in Lower Dorn.
You can't go back any more, the game will end in Easthaven.

Don't waste your time trying to kill the Sentries, when Pomab is defeated they are gone.

In order to defeat Pomab you must find and hit him (I used missile weapons but you can also try area effect spells like Cloudkill), each time you hit the right one a wrong Pomab should disappear.

:( Wanted to do the expansion(s) too. Not too keen on re-fighting the final boss in Lower Dorn, so I guess I'm out of options on that one.

Thanks for the tip on Cloudkill and such. Will try that and see if it goes better. Good to know a false Pomab will disappear when I hit the right bloke. Then it should be easier to eliminate them by a bit of trial and error.
A burst of cloudkill and death spell did the trick quite nicely. The next one, however..... Lets put it this way, I don't like it one bit when games cheat to make a fight more difficult. Wiping all buffs at the start of the battle sucks.

You're dealing with someone extremely intelligent and evil and who knows you'll come loaded for bear, so of course he'll do that. Scrolls and potions can take up the slack, or you can wait until after combat starts to cast buffs. Remember this game is far more tactical than BG.

Fair enough, but he could have done it with a spell instead. A bit silly to have everything wiped just after the conversation/cutscene ends. No matter though, we managed to take him down on the 2nd attempt. Am playing the expansions now, deep in some mazy dungeon in Trials of the Luremaster. It's a fun game, and it tests your tactics. Have improved a lot while playing it, and now we are mostly doing quite well.
