I have three heros with smart rifles. The goal is to clear the monsters before they kill 5 passengers. There are 11 monsters that appear. The problem is that the rifles are not powerful enough to take down the monsters quickly before they take out the 5 passengers. Even with the limited "healing darts", the monsters kill 5 passengers very quickly.

I have tried every combination including the robot spider assist and nothing even gets close. I can kill maybe 3-4 monsters before they take out 5 passengers and it resets to the beginning, even on the lowest difficulty setting.
This has basically ruined the game for me since I think it is impossible at this point to clear this room and move on in the game. I'm ready to delete it.

Is this a bug or is there any possible hints anyone can help with that might allow me to finish this level?

I can get the first half of scenario cleared then cannot accomplish much at all on the second half when the passengers all turn into monsters. This is the 2nd part of this level and I have tried everything I can think of. I have kept the guards alive, passengers with guns alive, etc. but nothing kills the monsters before the 5 passenger kill limit is reached. I have spent hours trying different combinations of weapons, mental powers, etc.
Any help would be appreciated.

Any help would be appreciated.
Here are some tips:
1. In the first half of scenario, shoot at the monsters that holds the victim. It knocks down their attempt to infect them, which means that in the second part there'll be fewer monsters and victims.
2. To reduce the number of victims, shoot at monsters that damaging civilians — then they'll begin to fight with your character.
3. James Gordon has a passive ability: the laser weapon in his hands does more damage than others.
4. If you combine a laser weapon with a first-aid kit, you'll get bots. The easiest way to do this is use Felicia Hicks — she has endless first-aid kits.
5. After the first half of scenario people saying encouraging phrases — talk to them to get some morale.

By the way, we could add to your profile a save slot where this mission is already completed. But in order to do that, we need your "userId" and "galaxyUserId".

Log in through a browser, open https://www.gog.com/userData.json, and you'll find some info about your account. Can be a bit annoying to find, as the browser likely doesn't format JSON nicely, but just shows it as plain text. The values for "userId", "username", "galaxyUserId", and "email" should be close to each other.
