Hi Guys,

I just purchased Hyper Light Drifter, and I keep experiencing a Video Player Error when I start a new game. I feel like it's not loading the beginning cutscene, which is disappointing because I was really looking forward to engrossing myself in the style/world/story of the game.

Could you guys/gals help me out please? I've attached a screenshot of my system specs, and a screenshot of the error in action. It happens right after I spell my name out and hit enter to start the game.

When I hit "okay" on the prompt box, it brings me to the third screenshot.

** UPDATE ** The error happens on every cutscene in the game :(. I started playing, and experienced it again about 30-40 minutes in. I can't play this, because I feel like I'm missing cool parts of the game. This sucks.

Also, the game runs really poorly on my system (which isn't that underpowered?!). Really disappointing experience so far, to an otherwise beautiful and fun game.

Game runs great on my system... Not sure what the problem was. Video error still persists!

You try lowering the resolution? For the video player error I would send in a ticket.

I'm getting this as well. I've sent a ticket so will feed back with anything helpful

Same problem here. Cant even start playing and I get this Video Player Error 1.

I've been in talks with Alx (game creator), and I can confirm that the newest update (GOG-10) fixes the video issue! Update your games and it should be fine :).

I'm getting the same error on the PC with the latest version. Even updated my graphics drivers. It occurs when the game is trying to start the intro video, so I suppose there is an error with the video player, the cinematics use. Is there a way to fix this, maybe by updating said player? Thanks.
