Hey! I've got a very high quality Speedlink Torid game controller which I tried to play this game with, and felt extremely stupid in the tutorial because I couldn't get things to work. The character just kept dropping everything as soon as I moved in the slightest.

I was unable to open the door with the two buttons next to another horizontally, because I just couldn't keep holding one button down while looking in another direction to aim for the second button. I checked mouse controls, and, guess what, it worked like a charm. I can keep holding onto stuff no matter how much I look around with the mouse.

I've found a steam topic about the same issue already:

What do I do about this? I kinda, you know, expect a game for 14 bucks to work with my controller when it claims it will. The controller works fine with any other game or application. It's a really nice one, actually.

From the FAQ about this controller.
Why can’t I operate the trigger buttons (R2 and L2) at the same time?

These two buttons’ signals are on the same axis. As such, they cancel each other out when both buttons are pressed at the same time. This gives you optimal control in many games. Alternatively, select the button assignment in the game so that both trigger buttons don’t need to be pressed at the same time.

My controller does not have an axis there in this configuration.

I can switch the controller on into different modes. I know that when in "analogue / axis" mode, they cancel each other out. The issue is, it still doesn't work when the controller runs in "digital buttons only" mode, when there is no axis value.

They work just fine in any other game too, at the same time, even. It's only this one that doesn't work properly.

Also, other assignments really didn't work for me.
