great game, but... I can't play it on my primary monitor, due to a severe lack of Vsync, since I get a scrolling line across the screen all the time

if this is remedied, I'd be one happy murderer

until such time, I guess I can always play this on another monitor....
Make us two, buddy

I forced it on in my graphics control panel but still no dice

Any ideas?
I'm having the same problem. Is there no way to fix it? I've been waiting to play this game for a while,
Same problem here. Hope it will get fixed soon.
Maybe try forcing Vsync on in your graphics drivers? Might work.
A tweet from Cactus before the game was released:
"Disabled vsync in Hotline Miami today. It A) didn't work and B) made the game run terribly slow. Now it runs smooth again, yay!"

Well that's too bad cause I need the damned thing turned on to properly play the game!

Exactly. I'm slightly pissed it doesn't work properly.
Is there any workaround like changing the desktop resolution or something more technical that may work? Seems like a great game but the tearing is awful and distracting.

On a slightly unrelated note: am I the only one having a heavy slowdown in the second part of Push It?

When you go downstairs to the dance floor the game runs ultra slow. Seems to be the only place this happens, though.
The amount of screen tear is unacceptable. they need to patch in a fix.
I have the "rolling black bars" and missing floors. Seems like a vsync issue but I don't know. I can't even enjoy the game properly. I hope they fix this soon.
Did they ever fix this problem? I played the game fine before but then the patch broke vsync for no apparent reason. I mean I know that console n00bs are used to rubbish like this, but this is a PC we're using here.
