So i've been thinking about buying this game on GoG after having it on steam for many years and i was wondering; will the save game i have for this game on steam work on the GoG version?

Really, this is more of a general question rather than specifically being about Hotline Miami as i also wonder about this for some other games i want to get here that i've had on steam or elsewhere (Alan Wake, Dead Space HM2 among some others).

So to specify, i have a save game for Hotline Miami already, how would i make it work on the GoG version so i don't have to do everything in the game again from scratch? Is it possible?
