Greetings,

has someone of you guys found a way to play it via "Play on Linux" or Wine?
Have you tried playing it using Wine? The GOG version has a gold rating on WineHQ.
I am playing using the latest Wine development version (1.5.21) with no problems.
It runs perfectly exept the music. I've tryed to get it to work with "dmusic/sound", but it still doens't work for me.

Did you install the game in a separate wineprefix?

If you have other games installed in the same wineprefix, then it is possible that their settings might be generating software conflicts.

Same here, made a new virtual drive in PlayonLinux for hotline miami, installed gdiplus (for the installer to work), dmusic and directsound. Installation works perfectly but I get the Object file thing error and the game starts without music.

Has someone been able to get it to run in PlayonLinux?

cheers to all
I used a "Play on Linux"-script to install Hotline Miami and it works just fine (despite the script being in "testing"). Music/Audio works too.

There was one in the main update thread and I figured that a recently arrived Linux version needs no explanation :)
