The new version of the game crashes on launch. I'm guessing they left a setting on that requires a newer OS then the X.6.# of the original. For the record I'm on X.6.8 as in the title.

The Original is provided and launches just fine if you show package contents navigate to contents/MacOs/YoYo70_Original and double click it there but that's a little tedious.

having the same issue. wish they would've warned before upgrading; the new improvements are not worth the hassle of the issue described above.

Why not just make an alias or does that not work?
Is there any fix for this problem? I want to play the updated version.
I didn't notice it before, but inside the /contents/mac os folder(when you show package contents) you will find an entirely new application bundle that include the full game(its over 400 megs) except with aliases for the .ogg music files.

If you launch this bundle the new version launches just fine(and it is fast) . . . but you can't go full screen in game, you may be able to modify a settings file but I haven't looked into it yet. So right now the problem appears to be with a a launcher.
They updated the mac launcher(it's what was crashing) on Steam. So now it works if you have it on steam. If you got humble bundle 8 you have a steam key for it. Hope we get the updated version on GOG soon but I guess they got to do their testing.
The DRM-free build in the humble bundle finally got the launcher update. Hope they remember to send it to GOG.
