Every time I get to the 3rd floor the game crashes out to desktop saying "Hotline Miami has stopped responding". I'm sad now. Ideas?

It sounds like it's happening mostly on Windows 8 machines and occurs when too many windows break in the game.

There is a patch out now on Steam and hopefully on GOG soon which fixes some of the game's major bugs, this issue not included according to some people on the Steam forum. So, I suppose we will have to wait a little while longer unfortunately.
