Hi,

I installed Homeworld Remastered via Galaxy and ran into some troubles:

1. The launcher (which seems to use .NET 4.x) crashes. I tried the .NET fix utility from Microsoft (which, as usual, was no help), I tried reinstalling all 4.x versions (which was no help, because the installer sensed an already installed version, so it told me, there is no need to reinstall). I tried different compatibility modes, starting as admin, to no avail. It always crashes.

2.) When startin HomeworldRM.exe manually, I get no campaing mode, only PlayerVsCPU or multiplayer.

Any ideas, anyone? Thanks!

You cannot run the HomeworldRM.exe directly, you must create a shortcut that specifies the associated BIG file for the campaign you wish to use and run from the shortcut. It is better to use the launcher as it automates this process.
