My apologies if this isn't the place to share this, but I just found out and though this would be a good place to put it.
Gearbox has announced that HW3 is in production and is scheduled for a 2022 release. They're doing a funding campaign on Fig, which you can find here (https://www.fig.co/campaigns/homeworld3).

I've bought the remastered HW games here on GOG, and this looks exactly like something I would also buy if it were in the store.
