I'm not sure where to / how to use the 32 bit installer. I have tried using that 1st on an x86 system and it dumps like 6 files (mostly generic uninstall files etc.) in the `Hollow Knight` folder. I've installed on an x64 CPU and then tried running the installer, but still the actual .exe file is 64 bits. What am I doing wrong?

I cannot help, because I have the same exact question.

if I look at steam they want to use something from as back as 1.4 version.

Also the 64 is like 1 GB so clearly the 32 bit version can't be the entire game.
