I remember playing this from an old Disk and had to use a slowdown program to get it to work right on my new system. To those who have bought this one already, does GOG package it with a slowdown program? How does the timing work? Anyone know?

To what I can tell there is no slowdown program with the gog version of Hocus Pocus (none what I can see).

The game presumably uses DOSBox, and I believe you can adjust the speed this way: http://www.dosbox.com/wiki/Performance
It runs fine on my WIndows 7 PC as it comes with dosbox and its own configuration.
Using DOXBOX on my modern computer and Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) the characters in Hocus Pocus move at the same speed as they did on my old PC twenty years ago. I did not have to adjust anything.
