I've tried to edit the hitman.ini file by adding the line "EnableConsole 1" with and without the quotation and then pressing the `/~ key in the game and nothing happens. I've tried numerous possitions to enter the text and nothing seems to work.

I'm a uk user of the game with a uk keyboard layout.

Any ideas?

For UK keyboard, try pressing Shift+#

Hi thanks for the reply. I've tried this and many other combinations such as Shift+^, Shift+Esc, Tab and nothing will bring the console up.
It might be a bit late, but I think I figured it out, as long as you are not running your game in admin mode. I assume you do, since Hitman seems to run fine in newer OS's normally.
GOG games are installed in your average Program files(x86) folder under Program Files(x86)/GOG/*gamename*. However, if you don't run games in admin mode, the game will save data (savagames, configs etc.) to C:/Users/*yourusername*/appdata/virtualstore/Program Files(x86)/GOG/*gamename*
I think this is because the regular program files is for some reason write protected, so the game can't save stuff there without running in admin mode. It probably has something to do with compatibility issues or something.

To enable consoles, you must either run as admin (and transfer your saves and cfg files to the regular program files folder, or change the ini in the appdata/virtualstore version.

I already had some problems with savegames earlier and someone pointed me to the appdata folder, so I figured out that it might be the same with this ini file. Works for me.
