The most distressing thing about this release for me personally is knowing that pirates are getting a better experience. This is always been the case for Steam but it was never the case for GOG.

When you buy GOG you always got the very best version of a game, and without having to cheat anyone out of money to boot. The games were DRM free and had all the features already there. Games like Evil Within 2 with all it's DLC unlocked and ready to go. Or how about Mad Max with Denuvo removed.

When you get a pirated game sure the DRM wasn't there but there were "steps" that you had to take. With GOG this just wasn't a problem.

To any GOG staff reading this. The pirates have a way to get all the unshockable working in their version of the game. Surely you can do the same. That's all we're asking for. Don't let the pirates have the better version of the game.
Not a first time.

I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't :P. But you might have me there.

I meant as a general principle.

Gog crossed a line with this, putting the game up might have been an oversight, but threatening users who "review bomb" was anti consumer.
Actually, pirates did not receive a better game.

Pirates are stuck in the same position of being unable to take part in the progressive unlocks that is the fun of Hitman 2016.

They can crack the game, and do some finessing to unlock everything. But, that is a subpar experience.
