As of August 21, 2023, Higurashi Ch.01 Saikorishi, GOG Cloud-Install, stopped working on my Mac (Mac Mini M2, Ventura 13.4.1) after running fine each day for several days. Nothing changed from yesterday to today—no computer or game updates, no restarts, just sleep mode overnight as usual. Reinstalling the game manually, reinstalling it from GOG-Cloud, restarting the computer each time, all the usual procedures don’t help. The game always crashes immediately after hitting the “Play” button in the Galaxy Client or opening the app directly from the application folder.
Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have an idea or a solution?

Installed Higurashi Ch.02 Watanagashi. Doesn’t run either, but reacts differently to Chapter 01 in three ways:
- it opens the language menu without crashing instantly
- it crashes instantly when I select a language (no matter which)
- it crashes without a crash report
Still no clue what’s going on.
Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have an idea or a solution?
