Does anyone use the widescreen FOV fix from alphayellow1?

Unfortunately, when using this FOV fix the weapons disappear from the inventory. All you can see are the numbers.

Does anyone know of a fix? Or any other FOV mod that works?

I'm using Windows 8.1.
