After i finally managed to get this great game running by using a hacked hexplore.exe, i have trouble saving games.
The save and load buttons are grey? How can i save my game?

UPDATE: sorry i figured it out. You have to stand on top of those steles to be able to save/load

Are we playing the same version?

I have just started playing the one from GOG, and I can save and load at any time, simply by pressing Escape to open the menu, selecting Save/Load and picking a slot. Standing on steles is not necessarity at all.
