Okay so I've made a few maps for HOMM3 and they don't show up when I try to find them in game. I name the name under "Map Specifications" in the map editor and save it to the map folder plus do all the needed stuff for it to work(ei. having two teams and winning goals). Am I supposed to save it to a different folder or what? Does the map editor just not work? Also when I save the map, I can load it in the map editor but when I try to simply find it manually from "My Computer" the map I make isn't there. Can someone help/explain?

If you can't find it in the maps folder via Windows Explorer (as your post seems to suggest), then the first thing to do is to double check where you're actually saving the map; if you can't find the map manually in the maps folder then it's no surprise that HOMM3 isn't able to find it there. Once you're certain your map is in the correct folder then the other to do is to make sure you're not filtering out your map (e.g. by size) when looking through the list of maps in HOMM3.
Well it really doesn't make any sense, I know I'm saving it to the right file, and like I said I can even view and open the file from the map editor, just not manually. Before I purchased HOMM3 Complete, I had just the original, HOMM3: Restoration of Erathia, and I made a few maps on there and saved them, and it always worked. I really don't understand.
What OS ?
In case it's Vista or Win7, take a look in the C:\users\<user>\AppData\Virtual Store\Program Files\gog.com\HOMM3 folder to see if the map isn't being saved there. The AppData folder is hidden by default i think, so you'll have to go into folder options and tick the checkbox for "Show folders, drives and hidden files" if you want to look for it manually.
EDIT:
Ok, i just checked and the map editor is working. I started a map, made a bit of terrain, under specifications named the map 'testmap' and saved the file as bla.h3m.
The file bla.h3m is on my HOMM3/Maps folder and when i fire up the game and click on the filter 'ALL' (to see all available maps), the map 'testmap' is listed there. Naturally it says i can't play it 'cause the map is just a bit of terrain and nothing else.
I'm on win 7, so i ticked the 'Run as Admin' checkbox on the game and map editor shortcuts.

My OS is vista, I checked the folder you mentioned and found the maps I've made there. That helped a lot, when you said run the map editor as administrator, it worked. (I'm guessing because I have to run the game as administrator for it to work also.)
Thanks for the help. :D
