I really do bite at strategy games, but I do like playing them. Is there any help guides for getting through the campaigns without resorting to cheating?
Thanks everyone for the help.
Try Celestialheavens.com(down at the moment, it seems) or Age of Heroes(just enter it in google and click the first page to appear or just use "I'm feelin' lucky")
And don't be dismayed by the difficulty of campaigns; they get easier once you get the hang of it, but still provide a challenge.

Vycka,
Thanks so much, that looks like a good site, with lots of stuff.

Which one? Anyway, both sites are working now.

With most of the campaign missions I don't think a walkthrough would be of all that much help as the missions can play out quite differently on each playthrough, and both the strategy and tactics best employed depend heavily on the kind of heroes you build and what your preferred playstyle is. The best advice I can give is to play many of the standalone maps first to get the hang of general strategies and tactics for the various town types, as these maps tend to be quite a bit easier than many of the campaign missions.
Thank you DarrkPhoenix and Lazy2log.
I do appreciate your help. I will let you know when I finally finish a campaign. This game certainly has that one more turn aspect to it.
Very comprehensive and detailed Armageddon's Blade walkthrough:
