Hi,
this is kinda a noobish question, but is it possible to split the same army into another slot.
for example i have 20 total, and want to make 10 each, for 2 sets in my hero window. if so how do i do this? I read the manual and all it says is how to split them from hero to garrison,
and vice versa. Any help would be appreciated,

1. Click on the stack
2. Click on the split stack box in the lower left corner (it has two arrows pointing away from each other)
3. Click where you want the new stack to go.

At that point a window opens up where you can decide how many units stay behind and how many go to the new location.

It's been answered, but: hold Shift and click. In Heroes III, there's a button to push; you don't need to hold Shift (but it does work). In Heroes II, there's no "divide army" button; the Shift trick is in the manual. In the original Heroes of Might and Magic, holding Shift does divide the army - but you can't have multiple armies of the same unit type in the same place, so your hero can't control three batches of Swordsmen and two of Archers, no matter how awesome that would be. Armies could only be divided between heroes or between hero and town garrison.

BTW, in your thread its still unclear which one games... So, is it work same for all 5 heroes (+non numeric ones) games? You talk about mostly H5, this thread - about H3 mostly. General forum recent thread -... who knows...

Anyway, correct answer for specific game available at respective help file in game folder. Should be. At least it be for H3-5.
