I never really got chance to play original HOMM, played a lot of HOMM2 though. I'm definately adding this to my collection when it is available.

I love the entire series through HOMM3. I haven't played any of the newer ones, so I don't know about them. Definitely downloading this when they put it up, though. =)

This is gonna be sweet! I played one of the HOMM at a friends house the entire weekend. Ended up having all of us playing a hot seat multiplayer game. Can't wait and hope all of the series comes out here (well, atleast I-IV.)

I had this on my Mac back in the day and I miss it! It's got a few nasty balance issues but that's not going to upset me in the least while I waste all the time from when it's released to when 2 is released playing it from top to bottom.

HOMM 5 is actually pretty good, it's a lot like three with different creatures and updated graphics, but the core game play from the last ones is there.

Been looking for these since before GOG started but will be most happy to find them from GOG. 1 and 2 are insta-buys for me. 2 is one of my favorite games every played, by far. Infinitely replayable, full of charm and variety. Jeez, time evaporates once you start this game up.

Does anyone have any ideas when this is coming?

Loved the first 3 games, the second two not so much, I remember playing multiplayer games for hours. Can't wait for it.

HOMM2 and 3 was,or better "is", some of the best games i have ever played.
I agree with LemmingJesus. HOMM5 is a nice comeback from HOMM4 and its true that it reminds a lot of HOMM3

I do hope they go all the way to IV. I'm one of these weird guys who actually liked it. It's balance issues do get annoying in a hotseat, but it has the best story of all HoMM games (save the expansions, which 3DO imposed on NWC as they figured no-one cared anymore. I cared. And I got disappointed...). There's a fan made campaign for HoMM 5 that continues the story of the originals and it was quite a surprise to me. I just hopped that Ubisoft would make it part of the same universe but another world (if you know the story since the Might and Magic RPGs, you'll know that this is quite possible).
Also, I'd love if they brought us the Might and Magic RPGs as well. 1 and 2 may be nearly unplayable nowdays (unless they give mouse support and other few tweaks), but 3 to 5 are nearly unplayable for other reasons (DOS-box is really a nuisance to use).

I do use Equilibris :) What I'd really like would be if they'd put more effort into the expansions... separating Necromancers and Inferno would be good.
