I'm new to the game (homm 3) and want to try and play completely alone, with no computer teams and no human teaams but no matter how I select in the random map options I can't seem to get it right. There always shows up a blue team after two weeks or so. Is it even possible?

That's not possible. There needs to be at least one AI or human opponent.

Not possible per se, but there is a workaround that will allow you to do it:
