Hi,
I've been having a problem where no matter what I do, it's impossible for me to save in HOMM V. The game starts up, I create a profile (immediately it disregards it and I'm asked to do so again to start a campaign), I start a campaign and it won't save. Whenever I try to save it shows a blank message and there are no save games to load. This happens in both the Steam and GOG versions. I've checked all of the known save folder locations and nothing and I simply can't find a solution anywhere! I really want to play the game again and I can't!
Here's a list of what I've tried:
Running as administrator
Turning UAC down to the lowest level
Trying both the Steam, AND the GOG versions of the game
Uninstalling completely, removing from registry, reinstalling (several times)
Installing in different drives
Please help, I can't find any answer to this problem anywhere!
