I've got problem with HoMM3 game. The game is lagging almost everywhere, when I want to cast a spell, when I go to Town, when I move Hero etc.

Is there any solution to this problem?

Tried. The problem still exists.

Check if any of the compatibility modes make a difference. Right-click the game's shortcut => Properties => Compatibility tab. Tick the checkbox to run the game as Admin.
Also try explicitly running the game as administrator (right-click the game's shortcut => Run as..).

Update your graphics drivers, as some newer drivers have better support for the old DirectDraw library.
Also re-install DirectX 9, because its mandatory and never hurts.

Hmm, which Windows version, PC/Laptop and graphics card are you using?
Have you tried launching the HD mod with HD3_Launcher.exe in the game's installation folder?

As standards don't work, it's also a good idea to send a ticket to support.

Unfortunetly, the laggs on the map still exists, I tried and turn off all options on the battle map, and seems to be less laggs.
I'm using Windows 7, AMD Phenom Triple-Core 1,8 GHz, 4 GB RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5145.

Looks like we're running out of options. Any answer from support yet?

When you start the game with the HD Mod Launcher, set the resolution to 800x600 and the Color Mode to "16-bit (auto switch)", that should be the fastest option.

I managed to get it work with this method.

However, whenever i engage in a fight in the game i never get to the fighting scenario. the computer fights for me and i only see the results. how do i fix this?

In the Options menu (press Esc), you should see an option for "Quick Fights" or something similar. Uncheck that option.

I agree with the hd mod recommendations. It made a difference when I first started using it. And it's prettier too. Can rebuild mage guilds if you don't like higher options . And then some...

Go in HD Mod: Image -> Upscaling -> None (in window mode)
