Hi everyone! I've recently bought a Teclast X98 Air 3G tablet PC (a chinese one with dual-boot Windows 8.1 and Android) and since it can play Windows games, I've downloaded Heroes 3 Complete and Heroes 5 Bundle for it. Heroes 3 works just fine (including key commands if I plug in a keyboard), but as for Heroes V, it seems to work just fine, however neither touching the screen (which equals clicking with the mouse) nor pressing a key on the keyboard works to skip the intro (which is annoying but not game-breaking), or to start the map when the game finished loading (which obviously makes it impossible to actually play). This issue happens no matter if I start the original game, Hammers of fate, or Tribes of the east. Trying the same buttons skipped the intro and started the map just fine on my desktop PC (running Win7, exact same GOG version of Heroes 5). I've seen a youtube video of someone playing a polish language demo version of Heroes 5 (v0.9) which worked fine. Can the issue be looked into? Or is there anyone who solved such a a problem? Thanks in advance.

I haven't used it myself, but did you try Gestureworks Gameplay. I know it solved similar issues for other games.

EDIT:
A quick google on gestureworks and Homm5 turned up this

I looked at that topic, it seems to be dead and I only saw a solution being promised, not actually made... and I'm not too keen on paying 10 bucks for something that may or may not work, given it's only Heroes 5 I have problems with. Thanks anyway.
Problem with HoMMV on Win-tablets of current generations is that game runs very poorly. I have a Chuwi VI8 with similar CPU and even with "very low" graphics (800*600, all's off) framerate is not that pleasant as you may expect from near decade old game. Bad optimization, perhaps. I've seen some solutions to help that issue but, frankly, I don't think I has to mess with these ruses for this game.
The expansions' main menu screen lag on everything, up to and including my current PC. When I got ingame once with liberal uses of magic, the lock and volume buttons (I couldn't replicate it since), the framerate seemed bearable at ~25-30, more than enough for a strategy game. Also, since Civilization IV runs at fluid framerates, I'd expect a game released around that time to work similarly.
